Our mission is to provide excellent education, room and board, and personal care for orphaned children and children whose families live at subsistence levels through enrollment at the St. Joseph’s Convent School in Martam, East Sikkim, India.
St. Joseph’s Convent School is an English Medium, Co-educational Minority Catholic institution, established in 1983 by the Registered Society of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny in the Diocese of Darjeeling, India. The School is open to all irrespective of religion, caste, or community.
The Sikkim Children’s Educational Fund was founded by Tibetan Buddhist Master, Venerable Lama Lodu Rinpoche, director of Kagyu Droden Kunchab, Center for the Study and Practice of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism in San Francisco, CA.
This effort was borne out of the Ven. Lodu Rinpoche’s compassion and concern for the impoverished and educationally deprived children of his homeland in the state of Sikkim, India.
Join us in providing these children an education and a chance to succeed in life!
