Children in Current Need of Sponsorship

“These children are in need for education, otherwise their lives will be miserable and confused. If anyone is kindly able to help these children to get an education, they will help these children to be a healthy and happy member of our human society and benefit the wellbeing of their community. Your donation given from a kind heart will make a difference in these children’s lives.”

—Lama Lodu Rinpoche

Please tell us which of these children you wish to sponsor when you make your donation!

Stories about Our Graduates

School Children

School Children

Tsering Dawa (Born Jan, 1987)– Abandoned by both parents, Tsering was supported by Lama Lodu Rinpoche from kindergarten to 10th grade. Presently, Tsering is a 12th grader and is looking to go to college. Tsering has done well in school and wishes to be a “successful business man.” He would like to thank Lama Lodu Rinpoche for his support throughout school. “My prayers and wishes are always with him.”

Sonam Tsetan Bhatia (Born Sep., 1988) – Sonam was born to parents who were field workers in the village of Ghankha. They were barely able to feed themselves plus 7 daughters and 1 son. Lama Lodu had seen her difficult condition and believed in the power of education. He has supported her for 12 years. In June, she is hoping to go to college and study geography. She is thankful that Lama Lodu has recognized her potential. Without his help, she would have been “without hope” and would have continued to find herself in poverty. She continues to work for some of her tuition and hopes that she can find sponsors for her college tuition. “ I am very grateful his venerable Lama Lodu Rinpoche for his sincere support throughout my schooling. My prayers are always with him and also to the sponsors. I will always be ready to give my helping hands, and hope for your, the students and everyone’s future success.”

Karma Topden – Karma was born to a family of 5 brothers and 2 sisters. His mother died of a heart attack when he was in the 5th grade, and his father was jobless secondary to lack of education. He is in his 1st year in college and is doing his general studies. When Karma was a child, he had lived in a grass hut with no running water, stove or electricity. He remembers having to carry a bucket of water nearly ½ a kilometer for cooking and washing. Karma wishes to give his thanks to Lama Lodu Rinpoche and sponsors to have given him this opportunity to read, write, and also learn English. Otherwise, “I will be like those people living in the streets. I would have never had an opportunity to even go to college.”
